200g Dark chocolate
50g Unsalted butter
2 Large eggs
175g Light brown soft sugar
1 tsp Vanilla extract
75g Plain flour
pinch Baking powder
50g Pecans, chopped (optional)

Method

Grease and line a 20 cm square tin.
Melt 150 g of the in a bowl set over a pan of water. Add the and stir until melted and blended. Cool slightly. Chop remaining chocolate and reserve.
Beat the with the and until pale and creamy, then fold in the , , and reserved . Stir into the melted chocolate and pour into the tin.
Bake for 25 minutes or until just set. Cool in the tin and then cut into squares.
